God has created a relationship for every boy to be responsible from his early childhood. That is nothing but brother-sister relationship. As a brother he fights with his sister during his childhood but be responsible for her at the early stage of adulthood. Every brother goes through the phase of fighting with his sister yet that fight does not last long. It is just to build bonding between the two and their relation lasts long through out the life. As a brother he will be there for his sister in all her ups and downs. Raksha bandhan is a concept created to show such responsibility to every woman and be responsible for their happiness rather than harming them. That's why we have pledge that all Indians are brothers and sisters. Many people questioned this pledge that he may marry an Indian which means breaking the pledge. But if we look in to the deeper side of the pledge, it means that, we have to treat each and every Indian as if how we treat our brother or sister. We never want to harm our brother or sister. We always want to seek their happiness.
