Lessons from ramayana

What to learn from Ramayana? Ramayana teaches wonderful lessons for leading human life in better way. Here are the lessons. Rama is god. But he did not deviate his duties or serving people for his selfish desires. He went to forest for fulfilling promise made by his father. His father told, kill me and enjoy your life as a king. But rama did not do that. Also bharatha approached him after Rama's dismissal to forest. Bharatha said to rama that he would go for aranya vasa and rama could lead the kingdom. Everyone including sages, devathas accepted. But rama refused that and said he would follow his dharma.
Later after ravan's killing, he had to go through struggle of pushing his wife to fire for dharma. He lead the kingdom along with sita and had to abandon her to the forest for obeying one unknown person's opinion. He had to go through tremendous suffering. But yet never tried to harm anyone. He never blamed a single person for his life's misery. He just lived for the sake of people not for fame not for his wife or parents ..just to ensure that duty of an ideal king. He was the true servant of the people. A leader is a true servant of the people than ruler. Rama never disappointed with his life. He never distracted from his dharma even though so many struggles he had to go through. He embraced the problems in life with ease and always ensured that dharma was the highest authority. He took the responsibility of whole universe as his and hence never blamed anyone for his misery including ravana, kikeyi etc.
Sitamma (goddess) too did go through so many struggles. But she never blamed rama for doing that. She has left his father to live with rama but had to suffer in Ashok van. She never lost hope and she was the bravest women in universe by embracing the hurdles with never ending perseverance. She never lost hope and she believed in herself that she can embrace misbehavior of ravan and daemons. She did agni pravesha for sake of rama without any hesitation. She went to forest for protecting rama dharma. She did all she could do to ensure rama never had to deviate from dharma because of her. A woman who was abandoned by husband for sake dharma while carrying baby would have committed mistake of cursing fate or rama or committed suicide. But sitamma never did that. She embraced every struggle as opportunity to start a fresh journey. Look at this ..sitamma started a fresh journey by leaving her father and luxuries. She left ayodhya with rama and lead forest life by starting a fresh journey. She started another fresh journey in Ashok van. Later another journey began after ravana dismissal. Later she started another fresh journey after leaving to forest by embracing her kids and ensured her kids became great successors of the ayodhya kingdom. Later she again started another of fresh journey by giving her loved kids to rama. She did all with ease and yet embraced every struggle as opportunity to grow better. She had never cursed anyone for the struggle.
We always have to go through numerous problems in life but the first point we do is to put blame on someone for our misery. If we start fresh every time we fail in our life, then our journey will be full of failures yet with humongous growth as a human being. Ancient Indian wisdom always teach to grow as great human being than fallen human being. These days people are fighting for superiority of god or superiority of scriptures or religions by killing the growth of human being. Human being never blames someone and always find opportunity to grow mentally, physically and spiritually. A human being always have concern for all creatures on the planet. If we grow towards the loving entire universe as rama and sitamma did, world will be the best place to live.
